Day Hogg (“the app”, “we”, or “us”) is a small iOS app for personal daily check-ins. This page explains, in plain language, what information the app may handle and how to contact us. It is intended to be honest about the fact that we are early and that some details will continue to evolve as the app ships.
Information users provide
Depending on how you use the app, you may provide information such as your email address (for example, when joining the waitlist or contacting support) and the short notes or selections you make during check-ins.
Check-in content
The app is built around tiny check-ins where you describe what you’re doing. We may store these answers so the app can show you a morning receipt of your day. Only enter information you’re comfortable keeping there.
App usage data
The app may collect basic technical information needed to operate reliably, such as crash diagnostics or system-provided device information. We aim to keep this minimal and limited to what is useful for keeping the app working.
Notifications
Day Hogg uses local and/or push notifications to deliver random check-ins. You can change notification permissions at any time from your device settings.
Third-party services
If we use third-party services (for example, Apple platform services, email delivery, or hosting infrastructure), they may process information as described in their own policies. We try to keep this list short.
Data retention
We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed to operate the app and to respond to questions or requests. You can contact us to ask for deletion of information associated with you.
User choices and deletion requests
You can contact us to request deletion of waitlist entries, support correspondence, or in-app data tied to your account or device, and we’ll do our best to honor those requests promptly.
Children’s privacy
Day Hogg is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we do, we’ll revise the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected here.
